Below you can find pictures of our collection based on lace collars. The material we used is leather which we then altered using a laser cutter. Our goal was to combine a more traditional look with modern techniques. These are prototypes made out of leather leftovers. For our finel collection we used 4 colours: black, white, green and blue.

Below you can find a sneak preview of our collection of collars. We were inspired by the softness of a lace pattern combined with the stiffness of leather. If you are interested, please let us know (e-mail). We can make your preferable model in the color that you want!

prototypes from the protolab

This week we made new prototypes!! We were able to create them at the industrial design center in Kortrijk. At Protolab, Bart Grimonprez was kindly to help us out. We were able to use the lasercutter on the leather and we tried out all different kinds of shapes. Now we are adding the finishing touches, soon you will see the result on our blog.

Dutch Design Week

Last week-end we went to the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. We went to the Design Academy and the TU/e. Below you can find the interesting work of different students.

Va-Tout

Another website you might like is Va-Tout, a website of Line Vanden Bogaerde, who makes lovely jewelery out of porcelain or silver. These amazing yarns we found on one of Sofie’s shelves, we absolutely love the colour schemes! We also like these materials because they are all made out of natural fibers. 

Exposition: Triennale Tournai

Two weeks ago we went to triennale in Tournai. Triennale is an exposition about textiles in the contemporary art at five different locations troughout the city.

exposition: Watou

Sofie went to Watou in Schore last month. Watou is a festival within the context of art and poetry. This year’s edition was inspired by the verb: reminder. Below you can find some snapshots of artistic work she found inspiring.

Prototype lace collar

In this first prototype the "lace" pattern has been cut out of the leather. This prototype gives us the opportunity to think about the finishing of the necklace and to evaluate its fragility.

Calendars...

This nifty calendar comes with a little bag of stickers. Those stickers contain little drawings that represents certain events, for example a party head or a crown.

If you have an appointment you can apply the sticker most suited on that date.
